Our Cigars

All our cigars bear exclusive names that refer to Reunion Island, through its history, its heritage or the endemic species that inhabit it. They are hand rolled in the Dominican Republic by talented torcedores. The mix of the different Corita lines has been carefully developed in collaboration with renowned Dominican Maestro de Liga such as Felix Reyes de Leon and William Ventura, whose expertise gained from the prestigious houses Arturo Fuente and Davidoff is recognized by all.

Dina

Our Corona takes its name from the origins of Reunion Island. When discovered in the 10th century by Arab navigators, they named it Dina Morgabin ("The setting island").

Victoria

It owes its name to the most emblematic fruit of our island, the Victoria Pineapple, which itself pays homage to the famous Queen Victoria.

Vacoa

Torpedo-shaped, the Vacoa focuses its power on its thin, pointed head. It is named after a slender tree with pointed leaves.

Papang

Its origin pays homage to a majestic bird of prey endemic to Reunion Island.

Dimensions: 54x6 (Toro)

Piton

Name given to two of the island's emblematic reliefs: the Piton des Neiges and the Piton de la Fournaise, the volcanic giant. The cigar also pays homage to them through its massive dimensions.

Salazie Line

From mild to medium body, the Salazie line is perfect for all those who wish to enjoy a light cigar, with an easy draw and sweet aromas. The line pays homage to Salazie, an authentic paradise where the gorges covered with vegetation are home to many breathtaking natural waterfalls.

Cilaos Line

From medium to strong body , the Cilaos line transmits to the closest what makes Reunion so generous. A perfectly balanced blend, enveloped in an oily and shiny wrapper. The line pays homage to the cirque of Cilaos, its sunny climate and its unique relief, surrounded by ravines, canyons and peaks.

Mafate Line

From medium to full body, the Mafate line carries the genes of Mafate's circus history. Its red ring recalls the color and strength of the volcanoes, with which Reunion Island was forged.

Exclusivo La Réunion Line

From medium to full body, the exclusive line was developed in homage to the formidable inhabitants of Reunion. Generous smoke, easy draw, aromas tinged with spices, coffee and chocolate. This is a gourmet line that will find, with the agreement of an old Reunionese rum, the perfect marriage to satisfy your senses.

RASINE

Limited Edition 2022

Our Limited Edition 2022 is inspired by the roots of one of Reunion Island's emblematic tree, the Vacoa. We have chosen a culebra module in order to mark the solid and fundamental aspect of the origins and the particularly strong family ties that exist on Reunion Island. These values which are ours , are thus found in an exclusive blend of medium to strong intensity , with notes of coffee and precious wood.

The story of Corita Cigars began with a trip to the land of cigars, Cuba. Mythical country which gave its most beautiful letters of nobility to the legendary history of cigars.

True artisanal works of art, bearers of noble values, cigars and more broadly the universe related to them instantly charmed our founders Sabrina Fontaine and Jerome Monetti.

This discovery quickly turned into a real passion, and led to the organization of tastings and events between aficionados, on the small island in the Indian Ocean from which they come, Reunion Island. The immediate success of the events also highlighted the difficulty of obtaining supplies, not only of cigars but above all of quality cigars.

Thanks to their extensive travels around the world and their connections in the Caribbean, the project of designing their own brand of cigars became obvious.

Driven by the values ​​of Reunion Island society, quality of life, sharing and generosity, the birth of the Corita brand (COmpagnie Réunionnaise d'Importation de TAbac) is part of a long local agricultural tradition. Indeed, long before the cultivation of sugar cane, tobacco was the dominant crop on Reunion Island.

To pay homage to this heritage and to the values ​​to which the founders are attached, the first range of the brand could only carry the unique identity of the island of Reunion and the Creole art of living. The names of the various Corita modules testify to this and bear loud and clear the traces of this anchoring.
